24/7 Emergency Drain
Unblocking in Yorkshire
Flooded property, sewage backing up, blocked commercial line — call us and an engineer is on site, typically inside the hour. Fixed price before we start. No call centres, no surprises.
What counts as a drainage emergency
Flooded property
Foul or surface water coming up through gulleys, showers or downstairs WCs.
Sewage backing up
Effluent in baths, sinks or basements — contained and pumped fast.
Overflowing manhole
External chamber spilling across drives, gardens or car parks.
Blocked commercial kitchen
Fat-laden lines refusing to drain mid-service — restaurants, care homes, schools.
Septic / pump-station alarm
High-level alarm on a private system before it backs into the property.
Whole-house blockage
Every WC, sink and bath backed up — usually the main run, not a single trap.
What to do while you wait
Five things that stop a drain emergency getting worse in the 60 minutes before our engineer pulls up. We'll talk you through them on the call too.

- 01Stop running taps, washing machines, dishwashers and WCs — anything entering the drains makes it worse.
- 02If sewage is escaping, keep people and pets clear and ventilate the area.
- 03Find your external stop tap in case we ask you to isolate the water supply.
- 04Take a couple of photos for your insurer if water is visibly damaging anything.
- 05Don't pour chemical unblockers down — they rarely work and complicate the diagnosis.

Emergency drainage FAQs
- Are you really 24/7?
- Yes — every day of the year. Bank holidays, Christmas Day, 3am Tuesday. The phone is answered by an engineer, not a call centre.
- How quickly will you get to me?
- Most of West and South Yorkshire is inside our 60-minute response window. We'll give you an honest ETA on the call, not a sales-y one.
- Do you charge to come out?
- We charge a fixed call-out that's published on the call. There's no separate hidden surcharge, and the total price for the job is agreed before we leave the depot.
- How much is emergency drain unblocking?
- A typical domestic emergency unblocking is in the low hundreds including the call-out. Commercial and complex jobs are priced on site after a free diagnosis, before any work starts.
- Can you unblock a drain tonight?
- Yes. The whole point of an emergency service is that you're trading or operational by tomorrow morning. Most jobs are cleared on the first visit.
- Who is responsible for a blocked drain in the UK?
- Drains inside your property boundary are your responsibility. Shared sewers and public sewers are usually the water company's. We'll tell you which on site and, if it's the water company's, help you log it with them.
- Will my insurance pay for it?
- Sewer flooding from blockages, root ingress, impact damage or escape of water is often covered. We work direct with most UK insurers and provide the photographic and CCTV evidence the claim needs.
- What if it just blocks again next week?
- We include a CCTV survey at the end of an emergency job so you know what caused it. If it's structural — collapsed pipe, displaced joint, roots — we quote the permanent fix before we leave.
- Do you cover commercial premises out of hours?
- Yes. Restaurants, factories, retail parks, care homes and managing-agent portfolios make up most of what we do overnight. Maintenance customers get priority response and a discounted rate.
- What areas do you cover for emergencies?
- All of West Yorkshire, South Yorkshire and most of North Yorkshire — Leeds, Bradford, Sheffield, Wakefield, Huddersfield, Halifax, York, Doncaster, Barnsley and every town in between.
- Can you handle sewage in a basement?
- Yes. We carry wet vacs, pumps and bunds to contain it on the first visit, then jet the line and disinfect once it's clear. Insurance jobs are routine for us.
- Do you fit back-flow valves?
- Yes — if your insurer is asking for one after a sewer-flooding claim, we'll survey the line, install the right valve for the pipe size and provide the certification the insurer needs.
